The Minions have conquered Hollywood and are now wreaking havoc as actors on film sets. When director Max encourages them to produce a horror film, they immediately set out to find a suitable monster for their production. To accomplish this, they use an old magic book and actually succeed in summoning a real monster. However, unsurprisingly, it doesn´t take long before their plan backfires spectacularly and puts the entire planet in danger. Now the Minions must prevent the catastrophe they´ve caused themselves and save the world from the monster they´ve unleashed.
