After the Trojan War, King Odysseus wishes to return to his wife Penelope and son Telemachos in Ithaca. But the journey home proves far more difficult than expected, as Odysseus faces a long adventure full of perils. He must contend with the goddess Calypso, the Cyclops Polyphemus, and the sorceress Circe, among other mythical threats. Meanwhile, the goddess Athene travels to Odysseus´ homeland of Ithaca and urges Telemachos to embark on a search for his father.
